This service is set up to support Olive Tree Care Service Users to enable them to access internal Handyman Services to get all those jobs done that need priority attention.  As with old age and health conditions some individuals can’t do those day to day tasks around the home to meet their basic needs of living, such as :

  • Changing a light bulb

  • Putting curtains poles up

  • Changing a plug on appliances

  • Moving furniture around the home

  • Servicing the hoover

  • De-icing the fridge

  • Washing curtains

  • Washing the outdoor bins

  • Purchasing bed covers, bed mattress or any other household item

  • Keysafe fitting

  • Trimming hedges

  • Mowing the lawn

  • Driveway snow removal

  • Installation of door access security cameras

  • Putting rock salt on driveways

  • Outside window cleaning

We have looked at the financial aspects and what this can create in ones budget, especially paying for a call out service charge which can be a minimal of £20.00 depending upon the service required.

To enable a better cost effective service for our Service Users, our Care Support Workers will try to do their utmost best to carry out small tasks like changing a light bulb or sorting the curtains out within their call as time permits.

As core support is the priority for our Care Support Workers to meet the requirements of the Care Plan and support the Service Users needs. We have decided just to charge the basic flat rate of £14.30 and hoping to complete the task within two hours, as some tasks can take longer than an hour.
