Olive Tree Care’s Care Support Workers can clean bathrooms and kitchens, do the dishes, hoover and polish. They can change beds, wash and iron, retrieve the mail and collect newspapers. This can help keep the service users home clean and clutter-free.
However a carer doesn’t just simply clean; they also genuinely care about the overall well-being of the service users and will make sure that they feel comfortable in their own home.
Meal preparation is also an essential part of everyday life and can be tricky for the elderly and those convalescing. Taking into consideration all dietary requirements and restrictions our carers can prepare, cook and serve meals.
Since many medications are taken with food, meal times are naturally when a carer or companion will remind their service user to do so.
Washing and ironing service
Washing laundry is one of those tasks that can easily get out of hand. Dirty laundry can pile up to the point where tackling it is a daunting prospect, and with many people in later life spending most of their time at home, it can easily have a negative effect on well-being. Living amongst piles of unwashed clothes is miserable, whatever your age. At Olive Tree Care we offer a washing and ironing service to suit your needs and take that extra weight off your shoulders. Our staff will ensure that your laundry is washed, ironed and even stored away neatly for you if required.
If you have been told you may not get better from a condition you have, Palliative care is an option offered by Olive Tree Care for people living with a terminal illness where a cure is no longer possible.
